Natural attractions include crystal clear rivers for paddling, swimming and tubing. In the winter, you can even swim with manatees! We are one hour from the calm Gulf of Mexico and two hours from the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, including world famous Daytona Beach.
We are 45 minutes from Silver Springs, with glass bottom boat rides through the Garden of Eden that is the original natural Florida. Here, you can see take a "Lost River Voyage", jungle cruise, Jeep safari, see alligator wrestling and more.
Historical attractions include St. Augustine. America was first discovered and developed at St. Augustine, 2 hours east of us on the Atlantic coast. An artist colony by the beach, St. Augustine is the oldest city in the United States.
St. Augustine has tremendous history, including a huge, immaculately restored Spanish fort, the oldest schoolhouse, jail and shops, a Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, IMAX theatres, an entire 'old town' with a fair sized pedestrian section, horse drawn carriages, and on and on. . . .
Tourist attractions are immense in Orlando and surrounding areas, an hour or two south of us. These include Disneyworld, Universal Studios, Sea World and numerous other "worlds" in Orlando. Cape Kennedy launches the space shuttle and gives tours in Titusville, between Daytona and Orlando.
