Our Pre-IVF treatment is custom-designed to prepare a woman’s body for an upcoming IVF transfer. A fundamental aspect of our treatment philosophy is that we cannot “fix” one part of the body. The entire body works together as a whole and in order to heal one area, we must address the entire body. Because of this approach, many women experience positive “side effects” after therapy, such as decreased pain in the back or increased sexual function. Some women who come for pre-IVF treatment experience a particularly startling side effect: a natural pregnancy.

One such woman was Rachael, who came to our clinic to prepare for her 4th IVF transfer. She and her husband had tried for five years to become pregnant, but because Rachael’s tubes were blocked by severe adhesions, her doctor told them they could only become pregnant through IVF. Unfortunately, they were still unable to become pregnant after three IVF transfers.

Rachael desperately wanted children and researched online for treatments that could boost her chance of a successful transfer. When she found our clinic and came for treatment, our therapists worked to reduce her pelvic adhesions and prepare her entire body for her upcoming transfer.

After treatment, Rachael immediately proceeded with her IVF cycle. Unfortunately, it was not successful. But a few months later, Rachel missed her period. She told us, “I couldn’t even bare to buy another pregnancy test. I finally bought it and to my utter disbelief, it was positive!” Our treatment had opened her tubes, allowing her to become naturally pregnant and later give birth to a healthy baby.

Why was she able to become pregnant naturally, but not successful with her IVF transfer? Sometimes it takes women’s bodies six months or longer to adjust after treatment. Our treatment frees tissues and structures from adhesive bonds that may have been present for years, or even decades. These tissues, structures, and organs may need time to readjust to their mobile state before full function returns. In many cases, women like Rachael feel pressured by the ticking “biological clock” and proceed with other treatment options before their body has time to adjust.

Rachael’s story is not uncommon at CPT. See Through the Fertility Ringer: Success After Multiple Disappointments to read the story of a woman who struggled with endometriosis and came to CPT for Pre-IVF treatment, only to become pregnant naturally. If you would like to learn more about our treatment, please visit our Pre-IVF treatment.
Madison never thought she wouldn’t be able to conceive. “I was shocked when I could not become pregnant,” she reported.

After a year of trying naturally, Madison and her husband sought the help of their doctor. Madison had an HSG to see if her fallopian tubes were functional. The results showed everything was fine. Madison then consulted with another doctor, who suspected she might have endometriosis. She underwent laparoscopic surgery and sure enough, the physician found severe endometriosis encasing the majority of her reproductive system.

Endometriosis on the outside of the uterus

Unfortunately, Madison and her husband were still unable to become pregnant after the surgery. They tried Clomid, but had no success after six months.

Madison decided it was time to consult with another specialist. He suggested they try intrauterine inseminations (IUI) with hormonal shots. But three IUIs later, they still hadn’t conceived. Their specialist suspected that Madison’s endometriosis had re-grown, so Madison agreed to a second surgery.

Once again, Madison and her husband couldn’t become pregnant after surgery. On the advice of their specialist, they decided it was time to move on to IVF. There were no complications with the retrieval of eggs or the transfer of the embryos, but there was still no pregnancy. Three months later, Madison and her husband tried IVF again. They were devastated by another unsuccessful transfer.

Despite the hardships they had experienced, Madison and her husband were determined to not give-up. They scheduled a third IVF transfer.

Before their transfer, Madison learned of Clear Passage Therapies (CPT). After reading over the treatment, they felt it could make their 3rd transfer successful. Madison attended an intensive week of therapy one month before her transfer. She told us, “After treatment, my body felt looser and healthier. When I returned home, my husband and I were elated to find there was no longer any pain with sex. My husband joked that he would send me back for more treatment in a heartbeat. Another amazing outcome was that I no longer experienced pain from my endometriosis.”

The next month, Madison completed her 3rd IVF transfer and was finally pregnant! She carried the baby to full-term and delivered a healthy baby girl.

Five months after her birth they got a surprise – Madison was naturally pregnant! She told us, “After struggling with infertility for so long, my husband and I never considered using any form of birth control. It was then I knew CPT had healed and restored proper function to my body.”

Madison’s full story, told in her own words, will be featured in our upcoming book Miracle Moms, Better Sex, Less Pain.
“I knew I had only one shot at IVF and we couldn’t afford any other tries.” In today’s struggling economy, comments like this are becoming more and more frequent. Many couples cannot afford infertility treatments or multiple with procedures like IUIs and IVFs.

Ava, a former CPT patient, experienced just this dilemma. After struggling with infertility for two years and experiencing a heartbreaking ectopic pregnancy, she knew IVF was her last option. But Ava knew she and her husband could only afford one try at IVF. She was hesitant to spend their money and told us, “I had never heard of IVF working on the 1st try, so I was discouraged.”

While debating this tough decision, Ava heard of our pre-IVF treatment. She told us, “I had to decide whether to go straight to IVF or spend more money preparing for the cycle with CPT.” Ava ultimately decided to attend treatment at CPT. For an intensive week, our therapists focused on preparing her entire body for a successful IVF transfer.

Ava completed her IVF the month after treatment. “I was thrilled to learn I was pregnant.” She told us, “My pregnancy went smoothly and I now have a beautiful, healthy baby girl.”

Ava’s full story will be featured in our upcoming book, Miracle Moms, Better Sex, Less Pain.
Not all women experience the ideal circumstances to start a family when their “biological clock” is just right. Christine, a former CPT patient, was ready to have children in her early 30s, but as she told us, “Mr. Right was nowhere to be found.” When Christine entered her 40s, she knew she couldn’t wait any longer and immediately started IVF. Her first IVF ended as a chemical pregnancy and she looked for complementary therapies that could increase her chances of a successful second transfer.

She found our treatment and decided to attend. Our therapists designed a Pre-IVF treatment plan to heal and prepare her for her second IVF cycle. Christine told us, “As a previous marathon runner, I had seen plenty of physical therapists, but never with the level of attention and expertise that I received at CPT for my fertility.”

One week after treatment, Christine started her IVF cycle. She successfully became pregnant and later told us, “I had a great pregnancy. I hadn’t felt that good in a while.” At age 44, Christine gave birth to her healthy baby.

Christine’s full story will be featured in our upcoming book, Miracle Moms, Better Sex, Less Pain, along with the stories of 75 other CPT patients. To learn more about our Pre-IVF treatment, please visit our Improving IVF Pregnancy Rates page.

Western medicine and natural treatments are often presented as arch enemies. Naturalists warn that western medicine only treats symptoms while western medicine worries that “alternative” treatments cannot fulfill their promises.

At Clear Passage Therapies, we strive to combine the best of western medicine and natural treatments. Our upcoming book, Miracle Moms, Better Sex, Less Pain, discusses how manual physical therapy can prepare the female body for a successful IVF transfer and full-term pregnancy.

In the chapter specifically devoted to pre-IVF treatment, we first discuss how Belinda and Larry Wurn discovered their manual physical therapy could improve the chances of a successful IVF transfer. We then share the scientific research, statistics, and study that backed their discovery. We also explain how therapy can boost IVF success in six key ways for a woman – regardless if she is preparing for her first or fifth IVF transfer.

The chapter contains personal stories of women who experienced infertility and finally became pregnant through IVF and manual physical therapy. We also share a few stories of women who came for pre-IVF treatment, but became unexpected naturally pregnant afterward.

Please visit our pre-IVF page to learn more about pre-IVF treatment. To learn more about Miracle Moms, Better Sex, Less Pain, please visit our book page.

Many women come to CPT in hopes of increasing their chances of a successful IVF transfer. Some women come before their first IVF and others only find our treatment after an unsuccessful IVF transfer.

Whether you are preparing for your first or fourth IVF, CPT can help prepare your body in multiple ways. Our treatment boosts IVF success by:

Increasing blood flow to the ovaries and uterus

Improving cervical mobility and ease of transfer

Improving receptivity of uterine wall

Decreasing adhesions and spasm in the reproductive tract

Improving hormonal function

Improving whole body function and communication

A medical study published in Medscape General Medicine found that our treatment boosts success rates with IVF from 41% to 67%.

Amelia, a former CPT patient, knew all too well the difficulties of infertility and IVF transfers. After an ectopic pregnancy, she underwent two unsuccessful IVF cycles. She told us, “I felt dejected when it didn’t work the second time. We had long blown through the little bit of money our insurance gave us for infertility treatment. I was frustrated and scared.”

When Amelia’s friend recommended our treatment, she decided to attend our 20 hour treatment program. Three months later, she underwent her 3rd IVF and became pregnant with twins. Now, Amelia’s boys are three years old. She told us, “It’s hard to believe we went through so much to get where we are today. I really learned to keep an open mind and be assertive. After my experience with infertility, I know you really have to listen to yourself and consider all the options.”

Amelia’s full story, along with 75 patient stories, will be featured in our upcoming book, Miracle Moms, Better Sex, Less, Pain. If you would like to receive sneak peaks of these stories, please sign-up for our newsletter.
