New Book: Treating Female Infertility and Pain

Research gynecologist Richard King, MD joins Belinda and Larry Wurn as a co-author of the book, “Overcome Infertility and Pain, Naturally.” Inside the book, the authors share a 20-year medical journey developing a physical therapy treatment to help patients achieve goals of natural full-term pregnancies and pain-free lives.

Starting with Belinda’s debilitating adhesion pain after cancer surgery and massive doses of radiation therapy,“Overcome Infertility and Pain, Naturally,” tells compelling stories from the authors’ files, and relates the development of pioneering research in women’s health. With a Foreword by New York Times best-selling author Christiane Northrup, MD, OB-GYN,

Overcome Infertility and Pain Naturally

Overcome Infertility and Pain, Naturally By Belinda Wurn, PT and Larry Wurn, LMT

and endorsed by doctors from Harvard, Columbia, and Northwestern Medical Schools, this book promises to usher in a women’s health revolution.

“Your work is a Godsend,” says Dr. Northrup, who gives “a heartfelt thank you for providing women all over the world with such a safe, natural, and effective therapy to enhance fertility and pelvic health.”

With over 700 pages, this book is an elegant combination of more than 80 individual patient narratives, intertwined with 20 years of remarkable discovery, and the development of a ‘hands-on’ physical therapy which is backed by published scientific research.

More than 100 original illustrations provide a rich visual journey into the body. The book explains why adhesions cause problems for millions of patients and their doctors, and why a unique manual therapy, born from Belinda’s adversity, has been successful for so many women who were diagnosed ‘beyond help’ by their physicians. As well as giving a good education about the workings of the female body, this book gives hope to women who thought there was nowhere else to turn to achieve their dreams.

This book is a condensation and re-title of the previously published “Miracle Mom, Better Sex, Less Pain,” by the same authors.

Find Out How Clear Passage Treats Migraines

Coming to Clear Passage Therapy was the best decision I have medically made, emotionally made or spiritually made in my life. I don’t even know if I’d be here today had not chosen to come here.

I was in a bad rear-end car accident and things just escalated from there. With an intense migraine, nausea, chronic nausea, and slowly my body just started to have incredible amounts of pain. Every kind of specialist that pretty much there is, I went and saw; different hospitals, different clinics; all with just temporarily relief or some no relief at all.  They didn’t really know what to do for me. So I kind of got kicked around from doctor to doctor. I was taking and trying every kind of migraine medicine there was along with getting Demerol shots. I couldn’t handle any sound or light, and it was just something that I was told I had to live with the rest of my life.

I had pain for about 10 years before I realized it was adhesions. So I had decided after I read Clear Passage’s Web site and what they had to offer, that that was where I wanted to be. It just felt like the right thing for me to do, to go there and have them work on me and see if there was something that they could do to help me.

I was just amazed at the way that they took the time to check out how my body was before they even started to work on me. Their approach was incredibly gentle and designed for me and the situation I was going through. I knew right then and there that what they were doing would help me. None of the doctors really got me involved in what was happening with my body. When I came to Clear Passage, they wanted to know everything that had happen to me in my life; all the traumas, the infections, the surgeries and included me in everything every step that they took from day one.

By the end of the first day, I felt lighter in my heart and in my whole body. I knew I was on the right path. I knew that I was feeling better. Together we were working in unison, and I had never felt that before. After that first week of being there, and I was only there 5 days, 20 hours of treatment, it was like being in another body. It literally changed my whole point of view about waking up in the morning and getting out of bed.

Coming to Clear Passage Therapy was the best decision I have medically made, emotionally made or spiritually made in my life. I don’t even know if I’d be here today if I had not chosen to come here.

Overcoming Migraine Headache Pain, Naturally

Migraine Headache

"A migraine headache can last from only a couple hours to as long as several days"

A migraine headache is often times a nuisance which can last from a short period, such a couple of hours, or even up to several days. Many people will look to medication to find relief for this throbbing pain. For over 23 years, we have treated severe and debilitating  migraine headaches and have generally seen excellent results in finding relief for our patients. The most seen cause for a migraine headache has been found to be the tightness at the base of the skull of soft tissue. Other areas of soft tissue tightness are at the temples of the eyes or at the top of the head.

How is this pain caused?

At the core of the issue, is the spinal cord. It serves as the central hub for most nerves that connect the brain to the lower body. It then transmits signals to and from the brain out to the neck, shoulders and arms, lower back, sacrum, coccyx, and legs. Numerous holes (foramina) in the base of the skull create passages for major blood vessels and important nerves to enter and exit the skull.  In order for blood and nerve signals to pass freely throughout the body, there must be unrestricted access.

If the passages become obstructed or blocked, a person will experience a migraine headache or several other symptoms, such as digestive issues and sensitivity to light or sound. There are several causes to a migraine headache. Trauma, poor posture, stress, or surgery have all been found to cause a migraine headache.

How we treat a Severe and Debilitating  Migraine Headache?

The Therapists at Clear Passage Physical Therapy are familiar with the structures of the human body and work with our patients to discover the root cause of their migraine headache. We examine your medical history to uncover any life traumatic events which may have caused the severe pain you experience.

Most often, we find that a series of events have contributed to this pain, such as poor posture, fall or injury. During your week of therapy, our therapists will work with you using the Wurn Technique to unravel the years of damage of these events without medication.
