Fertility treatment

Fertility Treatment

A fertility treatment is any method or procedure used to enhance fertility or increase the likelihood of pregnancy. The goals of a fertility treatment are pregnancy and full-term birth.

Surgical Fertility Treatments

Many fertility treatments attempt to surgically avoid the areas which cause female infertility. Surgical fertility treatments such as IVF, GIFT, and ZIFT attempt to introduce a fertilized egg into the reproductive system. These surgical fertility treatments offer an opportunity for success for a single menstrual cycle. Drugs are sometimes prescribed as a stand-alone fertility treatment, or to augment surgical fertility treatments.

Natural Fertility Treatment

Our non-surgical natural fertility treatment, the Wurn Technique®, addresses the adhesions that cause half of all female infertility and many unexplained infertility diagnoses. This newly researched fertility treatment uses pelvic physical therapy to decrease adhesions and increase the function of reproductive organs without surgery or drugs.

Wurn Technique®, Natural Fertility Success Rates

Our first pilot studies, conducted in the mid-1990s, indicated a high natural fertility rate (50% pregnancy) for women who had been diagnosed infertile by their physicians. Many of these women were complex cases, with years of infertility, yet they became pregnant after receiving our fertility treatment, without surgery or drugs. These initial successes alerted us and our referring physicians to the fact that our fertility treatment was assisting infertile women to conceive naturally.

Following those initial successes, a study published in the peer reviewed journal, Medscape General Medicine (6/2004), showed a 71% natural pregnancy rate for patients diagnosed with female infertility, who received our non-surgical fertility treatment. Study participants averaged five years of infertility before receiving the new therapy. See our published medical studies and what treatment is like page for details about this natural fertility treatment.
