Program Information and Costs

We provide physical therapy (PT) services. Physical therapists are licensed healthcare professionals with university degrees in their profession. In the US, they are licensed by the state to treat pain and dysfunction, non-surgically.

An elite group, Clear Passage certified therapists are leaders in providing a unique “manual therapy” (the Wurn Technique®). This therapy represents a unique compilation of advanced manual and osteopathic physical therapy techniques, combined with techniques we have developed and researched since 1989. We began developing our work as a physical therapy to treat complex chronic pain patients – those who could not find relief elsewhere. When several women became pregnant despite a diagnosis of infertility, we began to develop protocols for infertility patients. Once we started opening blocked fallopian tubes, it was not a far stretch to start treating blocked intestines, or small bowel obstruction. Our results have been published in respected peer-reviewed medical journals. We treat infertile women, chronic pain and bowel obstruction patients of both sexes from around the world.

Many try to compare us with massage therapy. We do not provide massage therapy, and it is important to recognize that the Wurn Technique® is not massage. Our work is a very specialized, site-specific manual physical therapy designed to address the adhesions that cause pain and poor function. Over 20+ years of study, research, and development of manual physical therapy techniques, we have significant expertise in the anatomy, function, and treatment of the entire body, including post-surgical scars, chronic low back pain, severe recurring headaches, female reproductive and abdominopelvic conditions.

Neither massage nor any other pelvic physical therapy has published results proving effectiveness treating adhesions and infertility. We are presently developing data for publication of our work with small bowel obstruction. Only the Wurn Technique® has been shown in medical studies and citations to:

1. Decrease adhesions
2. Improve natural pregnancy rates
3. Improve IVF success rates
4. Open blocked fallopian tubes (with live births)
5. Open hydrosalpinx (with live births)
6. Decrease endometriosis pain
7. Significantly decrease intercourse pain, and
8. Improve sexual function

Programs

Fertility Program: Our 20 hour fertility program is our "gold standard", designed to increase your reproductive function and decrease any chronic or recurring pain in your body. It includes therapy to improve hormonal levels and decrease or eliminate any abdominal, pelvic, bowel, back, hip, or tailbone pain you may experience.

Pain Program: Our pain program is designed to address the cause of chronic, unexplained or recurring pain anywhere in the body. Frequent pain complaints we treat include long-standing back, hip, and neck pain; frequent debilitating headaches; pelvic and abdominal pain or cramps; pain from endometriosis, menstruation, or intercourse; full body or unusual pain patterns; and tailbone pain. Patients coming only for pain issues may attend hourly as needed.

Improved Function Program: Our improved function program is designed to address the causes of decreased function:

• Sexual Function - Studies show women who received our therapy experienced significant improvements in all areas of female sexual function (desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, and satisfaction).


• Bowel Function - We are seeing very good success increasing intestinal function to improve digestion; decreasing constipation, loose bowels, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and small bowel obstruction (SBO), and breaking the cycle of surgery-adhesions-surgery for our patients.

Once you schedule, we provide you with our "Patient Companion" - a location specific book designed to assist you to learn what to expect before, during and after therapy including:

• a list of physicians familiar with Clear Passage Physical Therapy and available to provide appropriate referral as needed
• suggested insurance conversations
• area information (maps, hotels, restaurants, sights, etc)
• exercises your therapist may prescribe during your visit with us

Costs

The total cost for our 20 hour therapy program is $5,200. Most patient find it easiest to schedule the 20 hour program over the course of five days (e.g., Monday-Friday). In this case, you would receive four hours of therapy a day - two in the morning and two in the afternoon. Alternately, you may choose to schedule in 10 hour increments or hourly over three months time with a minimum two hour initial visit. We suggest an estimated number of hours needed to meet your needs. Patients with severe adhesions may benefit from additional hours of therapy.

The balance is due at your first visit in Florida or five business days prior to your first scheduled appointment in any other location. If you are not satisfied with the care you receive, you may end therapy at any time and receive a full refund of your prepaid unused sessions minus the non-refundable deposit in accordance with our policy noted below.

Rescheduling Policy

You may reschedule your program one time without a penalty with exception of balance prepayment policy noted above. Any further rescheduling will result in a loss of paid deposit, necessitating another deposit be paid in order to allow second or further rescheduling. After your therapy program begins, hourly appointments must be rescheduled 24 hours prior to scheduled appointment to avoid a $50 penalty.

Cancellation Policy

Should you choose to discontinue therapy after it begins, you will be refunded your unused balance, minus $550 non-refundable deposit. Your deposit becomes non-refundable when you schedule your therapy. The only exception is per physician’s letter stating your contraindication to therapy, in which case the following costs will apply to cancellations:

• 6 weeks prior to first scheduled appointment - full refund
• 4-6 weeks prior to first scheduled appointment - $500 refund
• 2-4 weeks prior to first scheduled appointment - $275 refund
• less than 2 weeks prior to first schedule appointment - no refund
