Endometriosis is a female health disorder that occurs when cells from the lining of the uterus grow in other areas of the body, such as the reproductive organs or within the abdominal cavity. Endometriosis can cause pain anywhere in the body, including the abdomen, pelvis and lower back, and infertility.
It is a condition that may run in the family; a woman whose mother or sister has endometriosis is much more likely to develop endo than other women. In honor of Endometriosis Awareness Month, please help spread the word about this condition by sharing the infographic below with women you know.
