Ames, Iowa, 30 minutes north of Des Moines, is lovely, friendly, relaxed, and safe. It is home to Iowa State University (ISU), voted one of the most beautiful college campuses in the US. ISU is nationally known for its engineering and veterinary medicine colleges; in fact, the computer was invented here!

You will be pleasantly surprised at what Ames and Des Moines have to offer in beauty, friendliness, and entertainment.  It’s safe and easy to drive anywhere in just minutes.  A few blocks north of our clinic is Reiman Gardens home to a butterfly garden inside and lush rose gardens outside.  Other local sights and activities include weekly outdoor concerts, antiquing, vineyards, museums, shopping, and parks.  

With a little driving, you can visit the Bridges of Madison county (yes, it is a real place) and John Wayne’s birthplace in nearby Winterset.  You may choose to visit Story City, Pella, or the Amana colonies, or many other small towns with strong old world ethnic identities.
