Patient Stories
We have had over 150 babies born or presently expected after therapy at Clear Passage Therapies® clinics. Following are a few patient histories from our files, to give you a glimpse of some of the human stories behind our statistics.
Andrea:
Our first success was unintentional. Seven years before she came to us for therapy, she had been diagnosed by her physician with two blocked fallopian tubes. Andrea had been having unprotected intercourse for seven years when she came to us for a "slip and fall injury" we were treating. After 30 treatment sessions, she was surprised to report that she had become pregnant. She soon gave birth to a very healthy little boy. We were very surprised, too. We knew that tubes do not tend to open on their own, especially if they have been closed for seven years.
Marcy:
Marcy came to us after having one fallopian tube removed in surgery and the other tube diagnosed as completely blocked. After our treatment, her HSG showed that her remaining tube was open. Two months later, she became pregnant for the first time ever and delivered a healthy baby girl! She later became pregnant naturally again and delivered twins!
Becky:
A physician we knew became curious about our positive results with Andrea. He knew our work well; he knew that we treated adhesions and mechanical dysfunction. Together, these are the cause of about half of all female infertility. The doctor asked us if we had anything to do with the unintended pregnancy. We said, "It's hard to say,- we were working in that area quite a bit. . . ." He sent Becky to us to try our work with her. Becky had idiopathic infertility (no known cause) and was infertile for three years when she came to us for therapy. We treated her several times and she became pregnant too,- with twins ! This was starting to get our attention.
Mary:
The physician then revealed that his own wife had been infertile for 11 years. Hers was considered an "impossible case." She was 41 years old, bordering on menopause, with a history of severe endometriosis. One tube was totally blocked, the other had been surgically removed. She reported an infertility file "about two inches thick."
"Can you help her?" the physician asked. We said that we had no idea,- while hers sounded like an impossible case, we would be willing to give it a try. Several weeks after therapy, Mary announced that she was pregnant! She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. By now, this work was really starting to get our attention!
Dawn:
Dawn was a very bright lady. A Ph.D. scientist with a strong research background, she had been through two years of infertility treatments with a Reproductive Endocrinologist. She was at the end of that treatment when she came to us, stating that her RE had basically given up. She asked if we could help her. Again we said "No promises, but we'll do what we can."
In reviewing her history, we noticed that she had suffered a significant trauma, including a dislocated hip. The hip joint is very close to the ovary/fimbria and we wondered if a hip injury might have created microadhesions that spread from her hip to her nearby fimbria. We concentrated quite a bit of our therapy around the tissues of that ovary and hip.
Dawn became pregnant after our treatments and gave birth to a lovely, healthy child. Two years later, she gave birth to another, with no further therapy or treatment! This was our first indication that the positive effects of this work appear to last for years. We were four for four at this point. Now, it definitely had our attention! We were hooked on finding out what was going on.
Eve:
Four women had come for therapy, infertile from 3 to 11 years. All four had become pregnant and bore healthy children naturally after the therapy. Our biggest problem, as we saw it was that we had only limited knowledge of reproduction or infertility. We weren't gynecologists, after all. We decided we needed some expert guidance.
We called a dear friend of ours who was a gynecologist, and he referred us to an infertility specialist. This gynecologist was a Ph.D., MD. That is, she was a doctor "twice over". She was a medical physician who had also completed a Ph.D. dissertation in her area of interest. As Chief of Staff of a large local hospital, she was (and is) very highly respected in her field.
She told us that it was very interesting that we were getting results, but pointed out that this was not yet science. In order to create science, she suggested that we perform before and after studies on a woman with two blocked fallopian tubes. The physician said that she had an appropriate patient but that she was so terribly adhered, she didn't want to do us the disservice of referring her. In the doctor's words, "You don't have a chance with this patient. She has had two laparoscopies and one HSG, all of which show she is totally occluded (blocked) in both tubes. She has a 'frozen pelvis',- the organs are so adhered that virtually nothing can move at all."
We said that we didn't care. Our curiosity was aroused. We offered to treat her for free and pay for the post-treatment dye test. We treated Eve 23 times. When she went for her HSG (dye test) the independent examining physician reported that one tube was totally clear with 'free spillage' of the dye (which is the ideal for tubes). In the other tube, the dye went measurably further.
This was the first true scientific evidence that our work was decreasing adhesions and could apparently clear fallopian tubes. Since adhesions & blocked tubes constitute about half of all female infertility, the ramifications for us were enormous.
Fran:
Fran was referred by an MD, Ph.D. gynecologist who became interested in our work. Fran was infertile with two blocked fallopian tubes. We successfully opened one of her tubes, and had the diagnostic films to show those results. Again, we had scientific evidence (through before and after x-rays) that this work can open blocked fallopian tubes.
Gloria:
We began to notice a trend toward referrals of health professionals and their families. Gloria was a surgical nurse who had a friend who read about us in the local newspaper. (Actually, the paper put us on the front page for Mother's Day.) Gloria had undergone three failed artificial inseminations (IUIs) and two miscarriages before coming to see us.
Gloria's CPA husband was so skeptical that he took up half the time of the initial evaluation grilling Belinda on how what she was doing could possibly help his wife. After that shortened first treatment, Gloria came for five more one-hour visits; then we didn't hear from her again. We were busy and thought she had tired of the several hour drive, commuting to see us. Then one day, we called her to see if she was okay.
"Oh my gosh." she said. "I'm sorry. I've been so busy preparing for this baby, that I never called to tell you the good news. I'm pregnant!"
Two years later, Gloria gave birth to another child,- without complications, and without any other treatment. Now we had a second patient with more than one child born after therapy. Indeed, the positive results of therapy seemed to be lasting for years. Our excitement continued to grow as more and more patients came to see us for infertility.
Tara:
Tara struggled with idiopathic infertility (unexplained) for almost 3 years. She underwent two failed IUIs in hopes of becoming pregnant. She then decided to come to Clear Passage. She became pregnant after treatment and delivered a beautiful girl. Then, two years later she became naturally pregnant again and had a healthy baby boy!
Candace:
Candace sought treatment at Clear Passage after struggling with endometriosis and infertility. She had been trying to conceive for nine years, including an unsuccessful IVF.
Clear Passage helped her with her endometriosis pain and her fertility. She experienced a decrease in pain intensity, frequency, and duration. And best of all – she became pregnant naturally and gave birth to a healthy baby boy!
Josephina:
A physical therapist herself, Josephina came to CPT for treatment of abdominal pain, adhesions, and infertility. She was 38, had never been pregnant, and had been actively trying to conceive for two years. She had a medical history of abdominal surgeries, ovarian cysts, constipation, and painful intercourse.
After treatment at Clear Passage, her pelvic pain decreased and she no longer had problems with constipation. Six months later she became pregnant naturally! She delivered a healthy baby girl. Then, within a year and a half, she became pregnant again and delivered a healthy boy!
Roberta:
Roberta came to CPT after 3 years of infertility. As a massage therapist she trusted that CPT therapists could help her. Just three months after treatment, she was pregnant naturally and later delivered a son! Shortly afterwards, she became pregnant again and had a second healthy boy!
Christa:
Christa was 42 when she came to Clear Passage. She was trying to conceive and had undergone Clomid treatments and two IVFs that were unsuccessful – partially due to high FSH. After treatment at Clear passage, she conceived naturally and is now expecting a baby!
Melinda:
Melinda struggled with infertility for 13 years. She underwent four IUIs, and one IVF that were all unsuccessful. In addition, she was always plagued with horrible headaches. After treatment at Clear Passage, her headaches stopped completely. And the best news – she is now pregnant!
Alice:
Alice tried to conceive for over three years, before she found out that both of her fallopian tubes were blocked. She had surgery to open them, but they remained closed. Then she came to Clear Passage. She had an HSG after treatment and it showed one of her tubes was open. Shortly afterwards, she became pregnant naturally and is due soon!
Sarah:
(as told by the patient)
I am now a very blessed mother of three beautiful children, but it has been a very long and remarkable adventure. So many times, it just felt so tragic.
Five years ago it seemed my husband and I would never have the large family we dreamed of and the brothers and sisters my daughter prayed for. I was diagnosed with secondary infertility shortly after my daughter was born.
In December, after almost a year of infertility treatments, the radiologists performing my hysterosalpingogram told us we would likely never have anymore children. He was surprised that I was able to conceive my daughter and carry her almost to term. He advised me that the left side of my uterus was a mass of scar tissue and my fallopian tubes were scarred. Along with a bicornuate uterus and mild to moderate endometriosis our chances of conceiving again were slim.
I underwent several more months of stressful and heartbreaking infertility treatments. Then I found out about Clear Passage, your therapy designed to help treat infertility and endometriosis. Thanks to your work and God’s will I now have two young sons and can hope for more.
Our comment: Sarah has now had three children naturally since receiving our therapy. She also referred her friend Nicole to us. Nicole’s story is below.
Nicole:
(as told by the patient)
Like most women, I dreamed of someday becoming a mom. The thought that I might never be able to have a child was foreign. After first having trouble conceiving and then experiencing two heart-breaking miscarriages, we began our journey through infertility tests and treatments. My
doctor diagnosed me with endometriosis. The following year was filled with stressful, painful, and expensive treatments. I had a panel of blood tests, an HSG, laparoscopic surgery, and seven intra-uterine inseminations (IUI) with fertility drugs. Despite my physician’s best efforts, I never had a single pregnancy.
Towards the end of that year we made our decision to adopt. Two months later, our adopted daughter was born! Finally, we were parents and we had never been happier. When she was three months old, I became pregnant a third time and miscarried right away. My empty womb still ached. Over the next two years we explored the possibility of IVF or another adoption. I had been infertile for five years when we found Clear Passage through my friend Sarah (above), who had a natural full term pregnancy after the therapy.
Five months after therapy, I took a pregnancy test. I was pregnant! My miscarriage history worried me, but the therapy that helped me to conceive was also designed to prepare my body for a full term pregnancy. My beautiful daughter was born healthy and happy!
Our comment: Nicole then referred her friend, Stephanie. Stephanie’s story is below.
Stephanie:
(as told by the patient)
Brad and I tried to have a baby for over five years with no success. When we were officially diagnosed with infertility, I was devastated, thinking, "this couldn’t be happening to me", and my husband was shocked and angry. He felt worse for me since the problem was within my body. I was told I had severe pelvic adhesions, diagnosed through laparoscopic surgery, which blocked and crushed my fallopian tubes. My only option was to do in vitro fertilization (IVF) or adopt. We were not opposed to adoption, but the fact that I could not experience pregnancy was so horribly depressing and I felt like I had failed our marriage. Luckily, I have a very supportive husband who told me he didn't marry me just to have children. At the time, despite being very sweet, it didn’t make me feel any better.
Renee:
Renee was infertile for 13 years when she came to Clear Passage. She had a history of pelvic and abdominal surgeries, ovarian cysts, adhesions, and severe pelvic pain. Her HSG confirmed that she had bilateral tubal occlusion (both fallopian tubes completely blocked). Although her husband was also a physical therapist, she decided to come to us for pain management - seeking the unique treatment that only Clear Passage could offer. After pain therapy, she reported she is virtually pain free! In addition, her HSG after treatment revealed that one of her tubes is open!
Towards the end of November, we had our first infertility consultation. The doctor confirmed that I would not be able to get pregnant any other way than through in vitro fertilization due to the damage to my fallopian tubes. He said my chances of natural pregnancy were less than 10% and even then I would be at high risk for an ectopic pregnancy. Due to my age (33) we were encouraged to decide quickly what we were going to do. Luckily, my husband’s medical insurance was very good and covered infertility procedures and so we began entertaining the thought of getting pregnant with the help of medical interventions.
We waited a while to do our first in vitro fertilization due to moving to another city which also happened to have a large university medical center that had extensive experience with IVF procedures. The in vitro fertilization process is long. It requires many doctors’ visits and all kinds of different shots you have to give yourself. Many of the hormones you are given can make you moody and many women gain weight or have other symptoms.
Although I feel my infertility doctors were excellent and very experienced in this science, in vitro fertilization did not work for me. I went through this process 4 times with no success.
Before my fourth and final last ditch try at IVF, a massage therapist friend of mine asked me if I had ever heard of Clear Passage Therapies. At the time, the last thing I wanted to hear about was some other intervention for getting pregnant. I had poked and prodded myself with needles several times a day, gained 12 pounds, and had emotional highs and lows for one and a half years; I knew my days of having a biological child were over.
A few days later another friend of mine, also suffering from infertility problems called and asked me the same question. I thought to myself, what could this be and what could it possibly do for me? I signed up for a free consultation and was given a lot of information about Clear Passage Therapies.
The physical therapists were very informative and compassionate to our drive to experience pregnancy and have a baby. I wasn’t very excited to go there initially, but I think when 2 people who don’t even know each other mention the idea in the same week, well, I believe God was telling me to get myself over there. Since I was gearing up for my last try at IVF, the therapists put together a program specifically for me that centered around having the massage treatments over several weeks before the actual retrieval of eggs.
The physical therapists at Clear Passage were wonderful. I actually enjoyed going there and I felt like if we were going to try one last time we might as well put the icing on the cake and add this in just in case it might help it work.
After my Clear Passage Therapy, I completed my 4th IVF. Unfortunately, the IVF procedure did not work. Again we were disappointed, but we thought that God must have another plan for us and we should close this chapter of our lives. We knew by this time, we could be parents without being the biological parents and so we began planning to adopt. Little did we know, but God still had another plan in His book…
A few months later, my friend that bugged me to go to Clear Passage therapies got pregnant- naturally! I was very excited for her and thought, well; something at Clear Passages must have worked since she was never able to have a successful pregnancy before that time. At the time, I thought it was interesting that it hadn’t happened right away for her after treatment but about six months later.
A few months later, to my utter disbelief, I was pregnant! Never, never had this happened to me. I couldn’t even bare to go buy a pregnancy test nor tell my husband for fear he may think I was losing it! Well, I bought the pregnancy test and IT WAS POSITIVE! We were again devastated but excited, thinking this is crazy! Our next thought was disappointing though, realizing my high risk for ectopic pregnancy. What if the embryo was stuck in one of my tubes due to the damage that was there? We said our prayers and knew God's Will would be done and either way we would be OK.
We went to my infertility/GYN doctor a few days later and he did an ultrasound, thinking the same thing: that we need to see if it is ectopic. We gathered in the ultrasound room, all rather reserved and immediately the doctor pointed to the little embryo right smack in the middle of my uterus! Yes, my uterus! I had never seen my uterus with anything in it before! And; THERE WAS A HEARTBEAT!
Brad almost fell off the chair! I immediately began to ask all my routine IVF questions, like are you going to put me on progesterone and that am I high risk so what precautions should I take. He surprised me again and said, "this is a natural pregnancy, your body had done it itself and you don’t need to take any additional medication."
Well, you can imagine, we walked out of there in shock but knew that God answers prayers and that somehow each step that we took in those 5 years, including our visits to Clear Passages, got us closer to our ultimate goal: experiencing pregnancy and having a baby. I am currently 7 months pregnant with our little girl. We are looking so forward to her birth in late January.
Although, we did not have children as soon as we originally planned, we believe Clear Passage Therapies assisted my body in preparing and healing itself to have a baby. Some women may choose not to go through all the medical interventions that I went through and Clear Passage Therapies is an alternative to those interventions. I recommend it to both women doing medical interventions as well as those not wanting to go through those interventions to look into this program. They are doing many little miracles. Our miracle daughter was just born.
