Patients Speak about therapy to improve hormone levels
Near the end of my treatment I ovulated for the first time without drugs!

I really believe that my treatment sessions improved my hormonal function. Prior to my treatment, ovulation was a one-day burst. After treatment, I had a gradual rise in estrogen which is consistent with healthy hormonal balance.

A miracle has happened despite FSH of 28 !!
Hello ladies,
I used to post on the old board but have been a lurker ever since the new board started. I want to share my miracle story to hopefully encourage all of you on this difficult journey. Yes, I am now 5 weeks pregnant!
I am 34 and my DH and I have been TTC almost 3 yrs. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo about 4 years ago and have had 2 lapses so far. In January of this year we decided to pursue IVF. Our first attempt was canceled when I only produced 2 follicles. The second attempt was canceled when my FSH came back unexpectedly at 19.8. The following month my FSH came back at 28 and I was not allowed to start. My RE was willing to try to force the FSH down with BCPs. We didn’t like the odds he was giving us and decided to walk away from IVF. I refused to give up hope though and did a lot of research on my own (Thank God for the Internet and this BB too)! Over the past 2 months I have done the following:
- Acupuncture and Chinese herbs with a third generation doctor of Oriental medicine who came to this country from China. I was drinking nasty tea twice a day and doing acupuncture about every 10 days.
- Added the following to my diet: wheatgrass tablets, flax seed oil, evening primrose oil, royal jelly, PABA and Isotonix OPC3 (a super antioxidant).
- Had one week of therapy at Clear Passages in Florida. I would encourage anyone with a history of pelvic adhesions/scar tissue to check them out. They were fantastic and I received such wonderful care there! They treated me the first week of this cycle and now I am pregnant! They can help women who are infertile due to mechanical causes (adhesions etc.)
- Started taking yoga classes 1/week.
My prayers go out to each and every one of you as you continue this painful and difficult journey. I never thought I would be posting a success story here but miracles really do happen! Praise God!
PS my RE is in shock but he was interested in all of the "alternative" therapies I tried and especially wanted literature about Clear Passages. He has never seen anyone get pregnant naturally at my age with FSH reading so high.

CPT Director Comment:
We have been greatly encouraged by the success we have seen decreasing FSH levels for women reporting high FSH (levels greater than 10). In our first 16 pilot cases, 6 reported a natural pregnancy before completing a post-therapy blood test, including one woman who came to us at age 44, with an FSH of 33. Of the remaining ten women who completed a post-therapy blood test, nine of them reported decreased FSH after therapy. Most decreases were significant, with an average of 8 points in improvement. Thus, we saw improvement in 15 of 16 consecutive women we treated with documented high FSH levels (6 pregnancies, 9 of 10 with significant FSH decreases.)
We have designed a full-scale study on reversing aberrant hormone levels, and are applying to the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a grant to help us create that report. Once that has been completed and published, we will be able to make a more scientifically appropriate statement about our success rates in assisting Premature Ovarian Failure and high FSH levels.
I thought you might like to know that my FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) level came down from 12.6 (before I went to you) to 8.1 (after therapy with you). This brings my hormone levels from "unacceptably high" to within a "normal" range. As you know, a high FSH is a sign of diminished ovarian reserve. The FSH levels can fluctuate slightly, but I did not expect that it would go down given my age. I certainly think that CPT helped.
